Ajanta and Ellora caves, considered to be one of the finest examples of ancient rock-cut caves are located near Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra, India. Adorned with beautiful sculptures, paintings and frescoes, Ajanta and Ellora caves are an amalgamation of Buddhist, Jain and Hindu monuments as the complex includes both Buddhist monasteries as well as Hindu and Jain temples. The Ajanta caves are 29 in number and were built in the period between 2nd century BC and 6th century AD whereas the Ellora Caves are more spread out and 34 in number and dates to the period between 6th and 11th Century AD.
Ajanta and Ellora caves are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are quite popular among travellers from all over the world.

Day wise itinerary
Day 1- Arrival at Aurangabad Airport, received by our representative, Check in formalities at hotel, Rest of the day relax. Overnight at Aurangabad.
Day 2- Breakfast at hotel , Later proceed for Ajanta caves excursion, The Caves include paintings and sculptured described by the government Archaeological survey of India as “the finest surviving examples of Indian art, particularly painting”. Post Ajanta excursion back to hotel, Overnight at Aurangabad.
Day 3- Breakfast at hotel later proceed for Ellora caves excursion, Ellora is also known as Elapura in the Rashtrakuta Kannada literature. Well known for its monumental caves, Ellora is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms one of major tourist attraction in Marathwada region of Maharashtra . Post Ellora excursion Proceed to visit Famous shiva Temple Grishneshwar Temple, Evening back to Aurangabad, Overnight spent at Aurangabad.
Day 4- Breakfast at hotel, Later proceed to Visit Bibi Ka Maqbara, Chand Minar, Jama Mosque and Shivaji Maharaj Museum, Aurangabad Buddhist caves and Daultabad fort. Evening back to hotel, Overnight at Aurangabad.
Day 5- Take your breakfast at the hotel and complete the check-out formalities. Proceed with your departure plans and our representatives will transfer you to the airport or railway station.
